Jenny is one of three sisters. Her age is 1/3rd the sum of the ages of all three sisters. The ages of her two sisters, Jody and Jan,
total 36. Jody is 4 years younger than Jan. They are not triplets and there are no twins. What is the age of each sister?

Jody is 16.  Jenny is 18.  Jan is 20.
Jenny's age is 1/3rd the total of the three sister's ages. The total of her other two sister's ages is 36, which makes up the remaining 2/3rds of the total. Therefore Jenny is 18. Jody is 4 years younger than Jan and as their two ages alone total 36 then  Jody can only be 16 and Jan 20.
